Availability Announcement!
I am taking a step back from alterations to soak in as much time with my littles as I can before my daughter starts school in fall 2026. I plan to pick up more at that time, but will be playing it by ear until then. I will be finishing out the clients that I currently have scheduled, but will not be taking on more clients until next fall. ​

Please note that the majority of my life is spent running after two adorable tiny humans and making sure they grow into kind and wonderful people. I am not often able to respond to inquiries right away, and mom-brain as we adjust to life with a toddler and infant is real. If you haven't heard back in a week, feel free to send a follow up email/text and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

My name is Alexandra Klok
But you can call me Alex. I am a mom, seamstress, educator, and artist based in Madison, WI. I started learning how to sew as a small child helping my mom make our Halloween costumes (anybody else choose to be a Candy cane or flower pot for Halloween?). She gave me my own machine at 16 when she got tired of me stealing hers. From there I started working in fabric stores and later started teaching sewing lessons in 2013 when I moved to Madison. I have taught all ages from 6 to 96 and even some art exploration lessons for babies. I started doing bridal alterations full time several years ago and I have loved it ever since.
My husband Colin and I started our biggest adventure in January of 2022 with the birth of our daughter, Eloise. That adventure got bigger in October of 2024 with our son, Atlas. I now see clients in the evenings and spend my days doing my best to help them grow into kind and wonderful people, (and stopping them from getting into too much dangerous mischief.) I love watching their personalities develop and seeing them interact, grow, and explore this crazy life with our two wonderful dogs, Calypso and Fergus, at their sides.

Sewing Lessons
Private or small group
Private Lessons - $25 per hour
Small groups - $15/student per hour
Kids
Ages 6-12
Have a young one who is interested in sewing, but you have no idea where to start? This is a great option.
Teens
Ages 12-18
These are usually project based and dictated by level of experience.
Adults
Ages 18 and up
Lessons available in a variety of topics and can be project based or sewing machine basics.
